Turin Turambar by Leliumoj Turin Turambar by Leliumoj
After reading Tolkien's book 'Children of Hurin' I just HAD to draw Túrin, the son of Húrin because I really love that character. This is MY version of Túrin, holding the sword made by Dark Elf.
I was inspired by the book, the art of A. Lee, the illustrator of the book and music of folk metal band Eluveitie.
I used no references for this drawing. It's just my imagination.
And I'm planning to do more illustrations like this one someday because I know I can do even better. And I need to improve my drawing skills.
A4, mechanical pencil.

I love the style, the details, the tree, the sword and his expression...

I like your Turin, though I myself have always pictured him as clean shaven because of his title "elf-man."

I love the looks of this, you can really see that it's inspired by Alan Lee and I like that. Great job :)

This is a beautiful picture! It captures the kind of sadness and darkness which lies over Túrins live very well! Thanks for sharing!

I just finished reading "Children of Húrin" and it is indeed a very inspring work.
You picture captures the tragic atmosphere very well. To me, this is the a more contemplative Túrin towards the end of the story.
Wonderful drawing! I Like the branches, the hair and also your way of using hatching to display light and shadow.
Keep drawing!
